One of the big questions regarding Twitter is how to grow your Twitter followers. While there are several Twitter apps that will help you mass follow people, if you really want to succeed, you need to focus on finding followers who are interested in what you are saying. Easier said than done right? That’s why I’ve dedicated this post to the simple steps you can take to find followers who will follow you back and are interested in you without having to tediously do this one member at a time.
User’s following to followers ratio
First off, you need to keep in mind to always look at the users following to followers ratio. If they have 10,000 people following them but only follow 100, it’s very unlikely they’ll follow you back. But at the other extreme, if they follow 10,000 people, it’s likely they are using a Twitter app that automatically follows everyone who follows them. Now, we can start talking about specific apps to use.
Twitter Tools
There are hundreds or possibly thousands of Twitter apps that can help you gain followers. Two great ones are:
Tweetstork
TweetStork is a free twitter tool that helps you find Twitter users who want to read and share your tweets. This Twitter tool is simply for following and unfollowing users with a limit of following 15 users per day with their free version. Though it does lack statistics and analytics which are becoming increasingly more important for businesses.
Features include:
• Filter a similar user’s followers by their description.
• Find Twitter users who have lists set up for people like you.
• Find Twitter users who are retweeting tweets of users like you.
• Unfollow Twitter users who aren’t following you back.
Twitter Adder
Twitter Adder also provides a free option that features advanced search functions to help you find and engage with Twitter users who are interested in what you say, as well as to automate your Twitter post. While the free option limits the number of followers you can find through the app, you can remove this limitation by upgrading to the paid version.
Features include:
Other Ways to Gain Followers
Now engage with your followers!
Remember that Twitter is a ‘social’ channel. Just like real life, you don’t speak ‘at’ a potential customer, you speak ‘with’ them. This means that you should be consistently engaging with your followers, rather than just pushing out one-sided tweets. Are there any other good Twitter tools you’re using to help increase Twitter followers? Let us know in the comments section below.

that is very helpful. thank you,
I think best way get follovers is services like http://getlikes.eu/
I can see why you like those kinds of sites, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the same reason I don’t recommend link exchanges for SEO. Services like those focus more on quantity over quality. I prefer to try and find followers who are likely to be interested in my content and engage with me.
