It’s 3 weeks in and I’m happy to report SocialMotus has been receiving quite positive reviews.
It’s great to know you’re finding it to be a useful social management tool for your businesses.
One of the common questions we receive is what are the actual features you will gain access to?
We’ve packed SocialMotus full of so many, even those currently using it are unaware of certain features that exist!
So instead of my usual update on what’s happening with SocialMotus, here is an official review on SocialMotus.
Overview
SocialMotus is a comprehensive social media tool catering to businesses of all sizes. Our goal is to ensure you achieve real value for your business from your social media efforts.
It goes beyond helping you effectively manage multiple social accounts, to making it easier for you to build engaged Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn communities.
You can expect a complete re-design of the interface for improved userability, and mobile and several new features coming in the near future.
For users who need more advanced features, we also have a low $9.99 plan to rival our competitors.
We’ve also made it much more cost effective for those with multiple team members, with lowers prices than most, if not all similar competitors.
Highlights:
How many people do you think retweeted this tweet below?
One? Two?
Bet you didn’t guess it was 95,182.
So how did they do it?
They became every teenage girl’s dream (Justin Bieber).
Unfortunately for the rest of us mere mortals, we can’t get away with simply tweeting the first thought that pops into our mind. You’ve got to compete against hundreds of tweets filling up a user’s Twitter feed. Each new tweet pushing down older ones into obscurity, never to meet the eyes of your follower.
So just like any other marketing message, it’s crucial to have the ‘right content at the right time’.
Last week I gave you insights on the best time to tweet for YOU, so we can cross that off the list.
Now you just need the right content. Read more →
The secret to successfully managing your account is…
Fairy dust.
If only it was that easy.
Actually it kind of is. Let me explain.
This post is for every marketer or business owner who has to work within the confines of a small budget (or non-existent budget), yet somehow create real value for your business from social media.
Here at SocialMotus HQ, we sat down and thought about how we can provide the best social media tool for those of you who have little to no budget every month.
Then we thought back to when we promised you we would level the playing field for you. To help you effectively manage your social media accounts without the hefty price tag.
So with this in mind we have decided to introduce a free plan and a base marketers plan alongside our existing plans.
That’s right.
Now you can effectively manage your social accounts for FREE. Read more →
Did you know weekends are the BEST days to tweet if you want more clicks?
Oh wait, no sorry.
Did you know weekends are the WORST days to tweet if you want more clicks?
No wait…
Confused?
So am I.
Every so often a new Twitter study offers us the holy grail of optimal tweet timing. Most are based on comprehensive studies and are plausible in their own right. So being a blogger, I quickly jump on board the media bandwagon to preach these guidelines to my readers.
Then I sit satisfied with myself for passing along this valuable information to you. [*insert pat on back]
Yesterday, however, as I was scheduling our company posts on SocialMotus, I started thinking about these Twitter studies. These conflicting Twitter studies.
Should you believe a study from bit.ly, the world’s most popular URL shortening service OR Dan Zarella, an award winning social media scientist?
To find the answer, lets look a little deeper at the results of the two most popular studies on maximizing the impact of tweets.
Finally after countless hours of dedication from our development team, SocialMotus is now ready for beta testing! As a beta tester, you’ll be one of the first to access our brand new all-in-one social management tool for FREE.
Take this chance to let us know your thoughts on our tool – improvements, bugs, new features and anything else you like. This will help us create the most effective and affordable social media tool available to fast track your social media performance.
Of course you can expect special treatment from us in the future including lifetime discounts and extended free access to the official launch product.
Here a sneak peak at what you can expect to gain access to:
Priority Messages
SocialMotus goes beyond a simple engagement inbox with our intelligent priority message system. SocialMotus filters through large volumes of conversations to bring the most urgent messages to your attention based around your priority keywords. Perfect for businesses providing customer service and support through Twitter and Facebook.
How do you create real value from social media WITHOUT paying a ridiculous fee every month?
This is a question we asked ourselves last year when we were looking for a comprehensive social media tool.
Back then our marketing team was using several different tools to manage our Twitter and Facebook presence. Free tools, paid tools. You name it, we tried it.
We didn’t want to coast along through Twitter and Facebook, simply responding to users who engage with us. We wanted to delve deeper and discover Facebook and Twitter tools to improve our business goals through social media.
This meant everything from pinpointing new followers who could become potential customers, to understanding how valuable Twitter and Facebook was for achieving marketing objectives such as visits, signups and sales. Not an easy task, I can tell you that much.
We had to look beyond free tools to access these sophisticated features.
And if you have multiple team members like we do, the monthly amount takes its toll. Going from one user to multiple users results in price jumps of hundreds of dollars a month. This simply wasn’t feasible for a small-to-medium business like us.
Somehow we would have to find a way to follow in the footsteps of the ‘success kid’ in the meme above. And we couldn’t rely on being adorable to do it.
The solution
Turning a negative into a positive is one of the things that separate good businesses from great businesses, and there is no more public place to do it than on social media.
As the rise in popularity of social media continues and your business utilises and adds more social media followers, you become increasingly open to people seeing any criticism you receive. However, you also increase the amount of people who see you handle such problems with a great degree of effectiveness and so it’s a place to impress with your customer service skills.
Complaints are part of business
Any company worth its salt is going to receive complaints about its product or services now and again. Human error, faulty products and unruly customers can be the cause of all sorts of complaints, and you can cement your reputation for great customer service by how you deal with this negative side of social media. However, according to a post on Econsultancy by Vikki Chowney, just 11% of retailers respond to negative comments on Facebook.
The social media landscape has changed dramatically over the last few years, but one thing remains certain – if your brand or business doesn’t have a social media presence, you’re trailing behind your competitors.
Searching for companies and products through sites like Facebook and Twitter is becoming increasingly common, so you need to make sure your business is in the mix, while still maintaining a high level of face-to-face contact throughout the rest of your business. Surprisingly, small businesses are still lagging behind with their social media profiles, with only 40% actively engaging online.
The key to social media success within business is to balance your time accordingly. To help you determine how frequently you should be posting, pinning and tweeting, use the following tried-and-tested tactics.
We live in a society that is constantly plugged in. Even in the rare occasion that we do walk away from computers, smartphones, tablets, and the web itself, we – as an ever-evolving, socially aware society – start to feel anxious and out of touch with those around us. It may seem a little absurd how continuously in-the-know we are with one another, but don’t jump to conclusions in thinking that’s necessarily a bad thing.
In fact, actively embracing social engagement not only keeps you informed, it can potentially benefit your professional career as well. If you utilize the website correctly, LinkedIn can immensely benefit you and your career. Ever since the beginning of Google+ in the June of last year, the social media world had a good laugh in its supposed inferiority to Facebook. Most thought it was just going to be one of Google’s many temporary experiments that may have stuck around but would have been forgotten about.
The size of the social network is at about 250 million people as of June this year. It does not measure up to the 900 million on Facebook, but a new study shows it may not be about the number of people on the networks, but the number of people that are satisfied. Read more →
